For Royal Thai Army
It was staged on 3 December 2024 at the Royal Plaza (Equestrian Statue Plaza), Dusit Palace, by 79 Art Studio Co., Ltd. together with Nafco Tech Co., Ltd., using a drone light show of more than 2,000 drones and 14+ giant LED screens, held in honour of His Majesty the King (Rama X).
On the night of 3 December 2024, the sky above Dusit Palace became a vast canvas as a drone light show of more than 2,000 drones rose in unison, forming moving images and letters across the night sky — the first and largest of its kind ever staged in Thailand. Behind this historic moment was the partnership of 79 Art Studio Co., Ltd. (79 Event Organizer) and Nafco Tech Co., Ltd.
The show was staged in honour of His Majesty the King (Rama X), on the occasion of the Royal Guards' parade and oath-of-allegiance ceremony, at the Royal Plaza (Equestrian Statue Plaza), Dusit Palace.
A 2,000-drone light show means commanding a huge fleet of unmanned aircraft to move with centimetre-level precision, assembling images and text high in the night sky. It is the largest number of drones ever flown in a single show in Thailand.
Flying this many drones at once is not only about spectacle — it demands meticulous flight-path planning, signal synchronisation, radio-frequency management and rigorous airspace-safety measures. Each drone acts like a single "pixel" on a giant screen in the sky, so every unit must hold its exact position and timing for the image to read clearly and completely to the tens of thousands watching below.
The more drones in the air, the more the control complexity multiplies. Delivering a 2,000-drone light show in such an important location and on such an auspicious occasion reflects a level of technology and event management that has truly reached the national stage.
79 Art Studio Co., Ltd., operating as 79 Event Organizer, is a full-service event production agency with expertise across concept development, stage design, production build and live on-site management. Nafco Tech Co., Ltd. is the partner that completes the technology and systems dimension — so the collaboration spans the work end to end.
For an event of this importance, with so many eyes on it, every element has to work in perfect coordination: the drone show, the audio-visual systems, the stage structure and the live broadcast. The trust placed in the team reflects a standard of work ready for national-scale productions.
Drawing on its professionalism in event organizing and stage structure, the team was also entrusted to design and install more than 14 giant LED screens along Ratchadamnoen Nok Road, broadcasting the moment live to tens of thousands of people in sharp, far-reaching detail.
With a large audience spread along the avenue, clear sightlines from every point were a key challenge. The team placed the LED screens at strategic positions and engineered the power distribution, signal cabling, central image control and real-time synchronisation across every screen. Image clarity and signal continuity are the heart of a complete live broadcast — and another piece of work that underlines the team's expertise in large-format outdoor LED.
